Kai’s service was pretty amazing. While it was short notice, I am happy we were able to hold it on Friday so Marks mom and sister could be there with us.
I was comforted by the many people who came to hold us up and honor Kai.
People I had not seen in years. People I had never met. Friends I had been desperately missing but hadn’t had the strength to call. Our amazing tribe of BT families. Kai’s therapists and nurses. Kai’s village sat vigil all night checking on us making sure we were ok.
Of course our incredible unwavering family who continue to do anything and everything to be there for us and Kai.
Love filled my heart that night. Love and loss, but a lot of love. Kai was always so full of love, it was really all he had to give to this world. He rarely complained, even though he had every right to. All he wanted was snuggles and love and to be close and warm.
We were surrounded by love that night and I know Kai was there holding us all together.

The service was beautiful & uplifting. The pictures & quotes made us smile on our way to see you. I loved seeing you smile as well as hearing a few big laughs from you. You looked great in that blue dress & it was wonderful to see & meet your whole family. I wish Kai & Maddox could have spent time together but I promise to tell Maddox all about the little boy born only 11 days before him. The little boy that captured his big sisters heart too. ❤❤❤❤ hugs
I am so sorry about the loss of your beautiful baby boy named Kai. I live in Northern California but I am originally from the Spfld MA area. I too have a beautiful son named Kai who just turned 20 years old. You have been through more than any parents should have to go through with a child. I pray for Kai as he flies with the angels. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
