It’s that time again.
The 2012 Jimmy Fund Walk is quickly approaching and we would LOVE for you to join in the fun!
last year was our first year at the walk, and we were delighted to see how many came out or donated in support of Kai.
This year our efforts will go even further as Kai’s Fight Club joins up with
Team H.E.A.L.S.
Team H.E.A.L.S. was started by parents of kids with Pediatric Low Grade Astrocytomas (a type of brain tumor).
100% of the money raised by our team will go to the Pediatric Low Grade Astrocytoma Research Project at Dana-Farber but we need your help to meet the required $10,000 goal for our team!!
This research brings us hope, hope for more tomorrows with our children. We have no doubt that we will make this goal and beat it too… For our kids, we will do anything.
The Pediatric Low Grade Astrocytoma (PLGA) research project was also started by parents. As you know, their foundation has funded research projects that have lead to new, less toxic, targeted therapies specifically for our brain tumor kids. Due to the rareness of these low grade tumors, this research would not be happening without the efforts and funding from the PGLA. PGLA also works to build family support and education, such as the Low Grade Brain tumor week at Camp Sunshine that Kai and I attended this year. I am thrilled that the Jimmy Fund is working with the PGLA and has allowed us to allocate our funds specifically for this research. Now more than ever we can be sure this money will be directly helping Kai and the thousands of kids like him fighting inoperable brain tumors.

You can use the first link to join team HEALS. But remember those who join on their own are responsible for $300. If anyone would like to walk with us and raise funds without the pressure of meeting that goal you can contribute and have your friends contribute under the second link.

Kai and I will be walking the 3 mile. It starts at Dana Farber. I hope we can meet up and walk together!!
